Abstract

The Leaf Area Index (LAI) and Fraction of Absorbed Photosynthetically Active Radiation (FAPAR) product is produced using a Two Stream Inversion Package (TIP) method applied to visible (VIS) and near infrared (NIR) broadband albedos (from the QA4ECV albedo product).

Based on the global albedo data on 0.5 degree and 0.05 degree regular grids, TIP-LAI and TIP-FAPAR are available for 1982 to 2016.
