The surface temperatures are generated every hour and distributed on a regular latitude-longitude grid with a resolution of 0.05ºx0.05º. The coverage is limited to land surfaces within the Himawari disk, which encompasses Australia and part of Asia. LSTs are estimated from infrared measurements using a split-window algorithm and are only available under clear-sky conditions.\r\n\r\nThe dataset was produced by the Portuguese Institute for Sea and Atmosphere (IPMA) as part of the ESA Land Surface Temperature Climate Change Initiative.
