The Swedish Polar Research Secretariat's (SPRS) operate the Icebreaker Oden which has a comprehensive suite of navigational equipment including :

- Automatic Radar Plotting Aid (ARPA: Consilium Selesmar T-340
- Electronic Chart Display Information System (ECDIS): Consilium Maris
- Echo sounder: Skipper GDS-101
- Gyro compass: SIMRAD
- GPS compass: Furuno
- Weather station: SMHI
- Automatic Identification system (AIS): SAAB R4
- GPS: Javad DGPS, SAAB R4
