Abstract
Surface chlorophyll-a concentrations at 9 km spatial resolution and monthly temporal resolution for the period of 1998–2020 were obtained from ESA OC-CCI (v4.2, Sathyendranath et al. 2020b). The dataset contains merged products of observations from SeaWiFS (1997–2010), MERIS (2002–2012), MODIS (2002-present) and VIIRS (2012-present) that are climate-quality controlled, bias-corrected and error-characterised.
