FAAM instrument used to collect particulate samples onto filters for post-flight laboratory analysis.

The filters system is used to collect particulate samples via the two filters inlets when the atmospheric aerosol is of interest. An operator is required to load/unload filters and open/close valves at the rack. Analysis (e.g. SEM, XRD) of the samples typically takes place post-flight in a laboratory.
