Abstract

Mass Concentration of the Nitrate, Chloride, Sulphate, Ammonium and Organic Component of Ambient Aerosol Particles in Air measured at 7 metres above ground level by an Aerosol Chemical Species Monitor (ACSM) at the Manchester Air Quality Site (MAQS), from 2019 onwards, for the Integrated Research Observation System for Clean Air (OSCA) project.

Data lineage:

Data is transfered directly from the instrument to the computer database, before being transferred to the general database, where it is processed using the Calibration data within the ACSM data. It is then divided into monthly files and data is flagged where data is suspect.
Data processing software found in: https://github.com/ncasuk/AMF_CVs/releases/tag/v1.0.0
Data obtained from 3750 CPC for June 2019 - February 2021 and December 2021 - February 2022
Data obtained from 3772 CPC for February - September 2021
Intercomparison between CPCs Data obtained from 3750 CPC and 3772 CPC.

Data Quality:
Data is calibrated for nitrate mass ionisation efficiencies (mIE) and the relative ionisation efficiencies (RIE) for ammonium and sulphate measurements. For full report on ACSM processing method see github file: https://github.com/naiwatson/OSCA/blob/main/Report%20on%20ACSM%20data.pdf .
