Abstract
The Mars Climate Sounder on NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (launched in 2005) is an infrared limb-sounding radiometer providing vertical profiles of atmospheric temperature, dust, and water-ice extinction. MCS delivers high-spatial-resolution coverage of the middle and lower atmosphere, enabling detailed studies of atmospheric structure, dust distribution, and seasonal climate variability."
