Abstract
An intermediate IASI L3 product was created averaging cloud-free Level 2 CO from the three METOP platforms (A, B and C) using the Cloud Detection Product of Whitburn et al. (2022). These data were then combined with MOPITT V9T L3 data using a weighted averaging approach. Weights were determined based on the MOPITT CO total column to prior ratio.
The merged dataset includes CO total column monthly 1°x1° resolution grids as well as uncertainty grids, for both daytime and nighttime from January 2008 to December 2024. Surface altitude grids as well as data source flags grids are also provided.
The version number is 1.0. Data are available in NetCDF format.
