Abstract
The TOMS experiment on board the Meteor-3 satellite provided daily global coverage of the Earth's total ozone by measuring the backscattered Earth radiance in the six 1-nm bands. Meteor-3 TOMS was launched on August 15, 1991 from Plesetsk, Russia, and failed on 27th December 1994.
