Abstract
The Atmospheric Electricity Observatory in Syowa station is located in East Ongul Island, Antarctica. It is 29m above sea level.
Four boltek electric field mills were installed in the station, two of them provided for GLOCAEM.
In the station, National Institute of Polar Research and Japan Meteorological Agency operated geomagnetic measurements and various meteorological observations, respectively.
