Abstract
Eskdalemuir observatory (WMO id 03162) is located 236m above mean sea level in Dumfiesshire, Dumfries and Galloway, Scotland. Since 1908 meteorological observations have been recorded on a 24hr basis, linking the station to the synoptic network of the Met Office Meteorological Service. Upper air observations have also been carried out at the site, including ceilometer measurements and radiosonde ascents. The site is located at OS grid reference NT 234026.
