Abstract
The Climate change in the Arctic – North Atlantic Region and Impacts on the UK Large Ensemble (CANARI LE) using the HadGEM3.1 model to simulate 40 realisations of 150 years of historical and future climate (a total of 6000 years of simulation).
The historical simulations (HIST2) run from 1950 to 2014, after which they continue using the SSP3-70 (SSP370) scenario forcing (historical and scenario forcings as used in CMIP6).
The model used is the medium resolution configuration of HadGEM3.1-MM used for CMIP6, with the Unified Model atmosphere at N216 (~60km) and the NEMO ocean at 0.25°.
