The Global Precipitation Mission (GPM) - Core Observatory is an operational satellite flown by NASA and JAXA, and forms the main element of the Global Precipitation Measurement mission. It carries two instruments: DPR (Dual-frequency Precipitation Radar), and GMI (GPM Microwave Imager)
