Abstract
A number of microwave radiometers have been constructed by RCRU engineers and installed at Chilbolton. The radiometers measure zenith sky brightness temperature at a number of frequencies, 22.2, 28.8 and 37.5 GHz. Scientists use these measurements to find out the total integrated liquid water path (LWP) and total precipitable water vapour (WVP), in the atmosphere above the radiometers.
