PM2.5 Concentrations Measurements in the Arctic and North Atlantic Atmosphere
Abstract
The DY151 cruise on the Royal Research Ship (RRS) Discovery began on 19th May 2022 and concluded on 26th June 2022. The expedition set out from Reykjavík, Iceland, and traveled across the North Atlantic Ocean, via southeast Greenland, then to the Labrador Sea and Davis Strait (adjacent to melting sea ice), ultimately returning to Southampton, UK. An interdisciplinary team of scientists from various institutions participated in this campaign. The PM2.5 concentration measurements and associated data were specifically collected between 23rd May and 16th June 2022, as outside of this window, the vessel was in transit and not engaged in measurement activities.
