Abstract
This dataset contains Meteosat Second Generation (MSG) Fire Radiative Energy Emission (FREM) data produced within the Earth Observation Climate Information Service (EOCIS) project.
The MSG FREM data includes the gridded FRE and the direct estimation of fire emissions based on the Fire Radiative Energy Emissions (FREM) method (Nguyen et al., 2023). These products are suitable for a range of applications, such as: (i) studying the impact of wildfires on air quality, (ii) initializing numerical models, (iii) trend analysis and anomaly detection, and (iv) policy evaluation.
Citable as: Wooster, M.; Liu, Z. (9999): EOCIS: MSG Fire Radiative Energy Emission (FREM), V1.00. NERC EDS Centre for Environmental Data Analysis, date of citation. https://catalogue.ceda.ac.uk/uuid/50d6d28b8a8a4edeb53225cf15aa2489/
