Abstract

In-situ airborne observations by the FAAM BAE-146 aircraft for WesCon: Wessex summertime convection experiment.
Meteorological in-situ data were collected by a range of instruments on board the FAAM BAe-146 aircraft and the Jade-one Dimona aircraft during a series of flights from May to August 2023 over the southern UK.
These airborne measurements were made to complement groundbased, sonde and radar observations made for the concurrent WesCon - Observing the Evolving Structures of Turbulence (WOEST) project.
