Abstract
The European Space Agency (ESA) Sea State CCI+ project is part of ESA's Climate Change Initiative (CCI) programme. The CCI programme was launched by ESA in 2010, to produce long term datasets of Essential Climate Variables (ECV's) derived from global satellite data. In this context, the Sea State CCI+ project was kicked off in 2018 in order to produce a CDR for the new ECV "Sea State".
