Abstract
This dataset contains river discharge (Q) data in cubic meters per second (m3/s) from the ESA Climate Change Initiative River Discharge project (RD_cci). It forms v2.0 of their combined river discharge product (RD-merge).
These river discharge time series were estimated at multiple locations by combining satellite-derived observations, including water levels from altimeters, reflectance indices from multispectral sensors, and river width from optical imagery. Each dataset was first independently converted into discharge estimates, which were then integrated using a weighted averaging approach.
