Abstract
The ocean liner RMS Queen Mary 2 is used as a platform for Scanning Infrared Sea surface Temperature Radiometer (SISTeR), rain gauge and GPS antenna, which collected SST data between 2010 and 2012 to be used for the (A)ATSR Validation Campaign. RMS Queen Mary offered global-wide coverage which includes the Atlantic Ocean, Indian Ocean and the Western Pacific. As of 2014, RMS Queen Mary 2 still serves as the residence of SISTeR, which is planned to continue its service of collecting SST.
