Abstract

This is a copy of The Berlin Stratospheric Data Series provided to the BADC by K. Labitzke and her collaborators (2002) as a CD from the Meteorological Institute, Free University Berlin. This data set contains temperature and geopotential height data on the 100, 50, 30, 10 mb pressure surfaces on a 5 to 5 degree horizontal resolution, produced at the Meteorological Institute, Free University of Berlin.

Citable as:  Labitzke, K. (2007): Berlin Stratospheric: 5 to 5 degree horizontal resolution geopotential height and temperature measurements. NCAS British Atmospheric Data Centre, date of citation. https://catalogue.ceda.ac.uk/uuid/a26ae5277e3e46d8b8415eae22a4a111/

Title DETAILS NEEDED - COMPUTATION CREATED FOR SATELLITE COMPOSITE. deployed on Satellites on the Global Telecommunication Sytem (GTS)
Abstract This computation involved: DETAILS NEEDED - COMPUTATION CREATED FOR SATELLITE COMPOSITE. deployed on Satellites on the Global Telecommunication Sytem (GTS). The GTS consists of an integrated network interconnecting meteorological telecommunication centres of National Meteorological and Hydrological Services (NMHS) worldwide. It comprises point-to-point circuits, point-to-multi-point circuits for data distribution, multi-point-to-point circuits for data collection, as well as two-way multi-point circuits. These circuits are a combination of terrestrial and satellite telecommunication links.
