Hill of Dudwick C-band rain radar single polar products
Abstract
Single-polar products from the Met Office's Hill of Dudwick C-band rain radar, Aberdeenshire, Scotland. Data include reflectivity (from September 2011), augmented Doppler (from September 2011), augmented refractivity (from July 2011) and CPAPR (from July 2011) products until August 2012. Dual-polar products from this site are available from 2014. The radar is a C-band (5.3 cm wavelength) radar and data are received by the Nimrod system at 5 minute intervals.

| Data lineage: |
Data are acquired from rain radar network in the UK and Europe by the Met Office's NIMROD system. Composite products (images and data) and single site data are then sent to the BADC by the Met Office's DART operational dissemination system. Raw polar data from single sites are sent through from the RADARNET team at the Met Office. On arrival at the BADC the data are ingested after a one day quarantine. |
