The 5 cm cell is a fixed pathlength sample cell which fits in the sample compartment of one of the MSF spectrometers. It s configured with platinum resistance thermometers for remotely monitoring the sample conditions throughout the course of measurements. The cell is constructed of stainless steel and is coolable down to 77 K. It can be configures with optical windows to allow operation from FIR to UV.
