Data from MPCM HCl and ozone simulations - Benne et al. (2025, 2026)
Abstract
This repository contains all the main outputs from simulations conducted during the "Improving understanding of Mars photochemistry: using models to interpret reactive trace gas retrievals from instruments aboard the Trace Gas Orbiter" project funded by UKSA. We mainly focused on two main atmospheric species and their seasonal cycles in the Martian atmosphere: HCl and ozone (O3). These have been studied using the Mars Planetary Climate Model (MPCM), a GCM of the Martian atmosphere, for Martian Years 34--37. For more details about the different simulations, please refer to the provided README file.
