The proposal will be used to achieve the following remote sensing aims (in conjunction with other fieldwork activities):
- validation of ocean colour satellite imagery (primarily CHRIS-PROBA, but also MERIS and SeaWiFS)
- further develop an atmospheric correction for the CASI imagery
- develop and validate a reflectance model, relating the Inherent Optical Properties (IOPs) of the Plymouth coastal waters to the remote sensing reflectance signal.
- investigation of fine scale and frontal structures using the ATM and aerial photography
